8 Christmas Temple Pictures for the Holiday Season
(Feature photo can be found here: Salt Lake Temple Christmas by Rory Wallwork)
The Christmas season is well underway around the world. It’s a time when we try to remember the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, as well as helping others and doing what we can to Light The World (#LightTheWorld). And of course in addition to these most important thoughts, Temple Square has one of the most amazing Christmas lights displays in the world. 35 acres are completely transformed by Christmas lights, decorations, and several nativities placed on the grounds for the holiday season. Every part of the decorations—from the white Nativity scene surrounded by floating lights in the reflecting pool, to the luminaria around the square, and the inspiring music and concerts—is meant to draw attention to the story of Christ’s birth. (Be sure to see our post about Christmas-time activities at Temple Square.)
In addition to this wonderful time of year, there are a few other temples that have their own display of holiday lights. Namely the Los Angeles Temple, the Mesa Temple, the San Diego Temple, and the Washington DC Temple. We don’t have pictures of all of them, but we wanted to share with you a few pictures that we do have of these other temples, as well as a number of pictures of Temple Square in Salt Lake City.
