The Seattle Washington Temple is located on a gently-rising hill across from Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington. The stunning landscaping that surrounds the temple features a cascading water feature, family-themed statues, and numerous brightly colored flowers, hedges, and trees. The site is surrounded by a beautiful grove of Washington evergreen trees. In our opinion, it has some of the most beautiful and lush temples grounds that we’ve seen!

Before we share these beautiful photos with you, here are a few facts that you might not know about the Seattle Temple:

  • It was dedicated on November 17, 1980 by Spencer W. Kimball.
  • It was the 1st temple built in Washington and the 19th temple in the world.
  • It is one of five temples featuring an angel Moroni statue holding the gold plates. The other four temples are the Los Angeles TempleWashington D.C. TempleJordan River Temple, and México City México Temple.
  • It is also one of few temples to have a west-facing Moroni.
