Alan Fullmer Captures 2017 Total Solar Eclipse at Rexburg Temple
Yes, we’re a little behind in posting this bit of news, but it’s definitely still newsworthy! Especially if you’re looking for a photo print to remember the event!
Last month our very own temple photographer, Alan Fullmer, along with fellow photographers Taylor Yardley, Brooks Crandell, and Karyann Hoopes, traveled to Rexburg, Idaho. There they joined thousands of other individuals throughout the area seeking a glimpse of the 2017 total eclipse in its totality. What he saw and captured while at the Rexburg Idaho Temple was incredible. He briefly described his experience as follows:
If you have an opportunity to go see a total eclipse in person, I highly, highly recommend it. I see everyone saying, “I saw a good portion of it – we were in the 90%.” No. Not the same. Anything less than 100% totality is like watching a movie with only the sound and none of the actual movie. You may say I am exaggerating. Perhaps. But in my view, it was one of the coolest things I’ve witnessed.”
If you don’t wish you were there to see it in its totality last month, I bet you do now!
Alan’s photography never ceases to amaze, and his eclipse photos are definitely no exception. Below is the stunning picture that he captured of the Rexburg Temple along with the phases of the total eclipse (a composite image). And we wanted to share some of the other photos he got as well.
