Cody Temple Location Announced
It seems that every week we’re blessed with new temple-related announcements! With so many temples being built or having been announced, it’s no surprise! And we love sharing the info with you. Today it was announced that the Cody Wyoming Temple will be built on an empty site located northwest of Skyline Drive and Cody Canal near Olive Glenn Golf Club, and it will be a 9,950-square-foot temple with a single spire, like many of the newest temples. The location will be easily accessible from the North Fork Highway that connects Cody to Yellowstone National Park. This will be the third temple built in the state of Wyoming, following the Star Valley Temple and the Casper Temple, which is currently under construction.
As always, this is an early announcement, so the detailed design plans for the temple are still being developed. An exterior rendering has not yet been released, but hopefully it will be soon. A groundbreaking date has also not been set. That information will come at a late time. But the great news is that project leaders can now begin working with city officials to coordinate planning for the future temple.
The Cody Temple was one of 13 temples that were announced during the October 2021 General Conference.
