Helena Temple Open House & Dedication Dates Announced
After nearly two years of construction, the dedication of the Helena Montana Temple will take place on June 18, 2023! The temple was originally announced in April 2021 by President Nelson, and the groundbreaking was held just a couple months later in June 2021. This is one of the quickest recent temples to be built, and the Latter-day Saints in the greater Montana area are surely very excited for this announcement!
The temple will be dedicated in two sessions, by Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who will preside at the dedication. The Helena Temple is one of three temples in Montana that is either in operation, under construction, or announced to be built. The other two are the Billings Temple and the Missoula Temple, which was announced in April 2022.
As with all new temples, prior to the dedication the Helena Temple open house will begin on Thursday, May 18 and continue through Saturday, June 3, 2023 (except Sundays). If you’d like to tour the temple before it’s re-dedicated, free reservations will be made available to the public through www.churchofjesuschrist.org as the open house dates get closer – probably a few weeks before it begins.
