Moses Lake Temple Open House & Dedication Dates Announced
(Feature photo by Tanner Bennett.)
After two and a half years of construction, the dedication of the Moses Lake Washington Temple will take place on September 17, 2023! The temple was originally announced four years ago in April 2019, and the groundbreaking was held in October 2020. So after four years of waiting, the Latter-day Saints in the Moses Lake and greater central Washington area are surely very excited for this announcement!
The temple will be dedicated in two sessions, by Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who will also preside at the dedication. The sessions will be broadcast to all units in the temple district.
Prior to the dedication, the Moses Lake Temple open house will begin on Friday, August 4, and run every day until Saturday, August 19, except for Sundays. If you’d like to tour the temple before it’s re-dedicated, free reservations will be made available to the public through www.churchofjesuschrist.org as the open house dates get closer – probably a few weeks before it begins.
The Moses Lake Temple is one of five temples that are either in operation, under construction, or announced. The Seattle Temple, Columbia River Temple, and Spokane Temple are all in operation, while the Tacoma Temple was just announced in October last year.
