Open House and Re-Dedication Dates for Raleigh and Baton Rouge Temples
Great news for the saints living the areas of North Carolina and Louisiana! The dates for open houses and rededications have been released for the Raleigh and Baton Rouge temples. Both temples will have only one rededicatory session. As is the case with a few other temples this year, you can see in the artist rendering above that both temples have a completely new exterior design, and we’re excited to see these temples in person!
Raleigh North Carolina Temple
The free, public open house for the Raleigh Temple will begin on September 21, and go through September 28, 2019, excluding Sunday the 22nd.
President M. Russell Ballard, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, will then preside at the rededicatory session on Sunday, October 13, 2019. The temple will then be open for patrons on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple
The free, public open house for the Baton Rouge Temple will begin on October 26, and go through November 2, 2019, excluding Sunday, October 27th.
Elder Quentin L. Cook, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, will then preside over the single rededicatory session on Sunday, November 17, 2019. The temple will re-open November 23, 2019, for temple work.
Neither of these rededications will include a youth devotional or broadcast.
Free Open House Tickets
Free tickets will be made available to the public a couple of weeks before the open house begins. You will be able to get them here: www.lds.org/temples/open-houses
