Pictures of What the Inside of the New Tooele Valley Temple Will Look Like
It’s turning out to be a very big year for temples across the world! Recently we’ve seen a number of renderings of the outside of new temples, including that of the Tooele Valley Temple. And today new 3D renderings that show the interior designs of the new Tooele Valley Utah Temple were released. As you’ll see in the images below, it’s going to be a beautiful temple! Of course, they all are.
The temple was announced in April 2019 by President Nelson. It will be built on the northwest side of the intersection of Erda Way and Highway 36 in Erda, Utah, and is planned to be a 70,000-square-foot temple.
“These beautiful renderings depict the care and attention to detail that will go into the construction of this house of the Lord,” said Brent Roberts, managing director of the Church’s Special Projects Department. “The temple is our holiest place of worship. We believe this will be a place where Latter-day Saints in the Tooele Valley and beyond can go to obtain peace and divine direction in their lives.”
Bill Williams, director of temple design for the Church, said, “The design of this temple features a cast stone exterior with copper shingles done in a pioneer style.” The inspiration for the planning and design of this temple were taken from details of nearby historic tabernacles. Also featured throughout the temple are several flowers native to the Tooele Valley area, including cliffrose and silvery lupine. Their designs will be prominent in various rooms as well as on art glass and the building’s exterior.
A groundbreaking date or open house dates for the temple have not yet been set. But we’ll keep you informed of any news that is announced!
