About the Lindon Utah Temple
Announced by President Russell M. Nelson on October 4, 2020, the Lindon Utah Temple is the 216th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the 25th built in Utah, and the 7th in Utah County. The 83,140-square-foot temple sits on 12.63 acres at the intersection of 800 East and Center Street in Lindon — a small city of approximately 11,000 people nestled between Orem and Pleasant Grove, with stunning views of Mount Timpanogos rising to the east. The temple is clad in natural White Moncini stone quarried in Italy and features twin spires of equal height, with the metal spire reaching 224 feet above the ground.
The temple's design is deeply rooted in the identity of its city. The linden tree flower — Lindon's namesake — is woven throughout the architecture in the art glass, millwork carvings, interior stonework, and decorative lighting. Harvest baskets and wheat sheaves celebrate the city's agricultural heritage. The art glass features primary floral elements in green, white, and pink. A public open house was held from March 12 through April 11, 2026, drawing visitors from across Utah Valley. Elder Henry B. Eyring presided at the dedication on May 3, 2026.
