This is the second time we’re showcasing the beautiful photos of the Rexburg Idaho Temple that are for sale here on our website. If you haven’t seen the first post, be sure to take a look at it here!

As far as the history of the temple goes, most temple groundbreakings are limited to invited guests. However, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rexburg Temple was open to any and all who desired to attend. Over 8,000 people crowded on the field where the temple now stands! What a momentous occasion it must have been to be there in person!

And that wasn’t the only time an impressive number of people showed interest in the temple. Interest in the open house of the temple was so high that additional early-morning and evening tours were added to each day. In the end, over 200,000 visitors toured the temple!

And in recent news, the Rexburg Temple has gotten so busy that President Nelson just recently announced that a second temple will be built in the northern part of Rexburg. What a blessing that will be for the Latter-day Saints in the Rexburg area!
